Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co., Ltd. and Thammasat University signed a contract for the research rights on Nanoemulsion formula that contains Alpha Mangosteen from mangosteen peel (Purify Xanthone).
On Thursday, November 7, 2019, Associate Professor Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, Mr. Asada Thepyos, President of Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co., Ltd. and Mr. Wuttipong Panitsettakorn, Managing Director of Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co., Ltd., have signed a contract for the use of research works of Nano emulsion formula that contains Alpha Mangosteen from mangosteen peel (Purify Xanthone). The ceremony was honored by Professor Dr. Anat Leemakdej, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property and Enterprise Incubation who announced the purpose of the contract signing ceremony for the use of the research rights.
This research is a collaboration between Thammasat University and Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co. Ltd. that brings research results from academic departments in higher education institutions to be further developed in the commercial industry, and in particular the research results on Nano emulsion formula containing alpha mangosteen from mangosteen peel. It is an extension of the innovation of Purified Xanthone from the development of crude extracts from mangosteen with pure extraction technology that is the research result of Institute of Research and Development of Agricultural Products and Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University and finally this extract called Purify Xanthone and was further successfully researched and developed using nanoemulsion technology by Thammasat University. It become an important extract of Purify xanthone in the form of a nano emulsion (Purified Xanthone Nano Emulsion) that is effective in inhibiting bacteria that cause acne, reduces inflammation and irritation on the skin, acts as tyrosinase inhibitor and anti-oxidant, and the form of nano emulsion stimulates Purify Xanthone work on the skin more effectively.
The agreement’s signing is an important step in upgrading the cosmetic industry of Thailand that can help to develop important extracts from local agricultural products to meet international standards and acceptance. It is also aimed to increase the value of agricultural products with advanced knowledge and technology and causes the cosmetic industry to reduce imports of extracts from foreign countries for utilization in the industry, as well as contribution in the export of these important extracts for the international cosmetic industry.
